“You can read these photographs like tarot cards, as they tell the future of the city that was once desert and will be desert again.”

 “I was looking for the desert.” Michael Lange has drifted away from the freeways, the main roads, the safe zones, he has gotten lost according to plan and lost in the black holes of the Autostadt. At some point, somewhere, he pressed the shutter release. When asked, he tells of his fear, of the heat and emptiness of these streets, of the panic that overcame him when he had to stop too long in front of a traffic light, of the darkness behind the tinted windows of a car parked in front of a firewall, of streets he drove out of in reverse, because he had read something in a few faces that could not be put into words – of the suddenness, the inevitability, with which an image, a thing, a sight assaulted him, so that he could not help but photograph, quickly, spontaneously, from the moving car. ”                                                                            Andreas Kilb 

The work self-published as a book, furthermore there is a LTD Edition with a pigment print (to order via the store).
